We retired in 2004 and
after much research and
visits with Boer goat
owners we decided to
raise full blood Boer
goats on our 20
acre farm in North
Central Oklahoma,
35 miles SE of Ponca
City. |
|
|
We have worked together
most of our married life
and wanted something we
would enjoy doing
together while at the
same time being able to
enjoy our life of
retirement.
And work together we
have done, from
installing a new fence
around the 20 acres and
cross fencing with
electric fences to
building pens and
corrals. It has been a
lot of work but
enjoyable because of our
desire to raise Boer
goats.

|
This has more than met
our
expectations and not
only brings us enjoyment
but has enriched the
lives of our
grandchildren as well.
They truly enjoy
their visits to the
farm...helping
grandpa do chores,
feeding the chickens and
gathering eggs, riding
Molly our horse and
playing with the goats.
They don't get to
experience this kind of
life in the city.

|
Being retired from the
workforce we are
able to devote ourselves
full time to caring for
and raising our goats.
One
of our greatest
enjoyments is sitting on
the front porch;
drinking coffee and
watching our goats eat
and play on the
hillside. |

We appreciate your
interest in our goats.
You’re always welcome to
stop by, have a cup of
